Cikgu Siti tersenyum lalu berkata, “Dalam Al-Quran, Allah berfirman bahawa gunung dijadikan sebagai pasak bumi.” Amir memandang ke arah gunung itu semula. “Pasak? Macam pasak khemah ke, cikgu?” tanyanya. “Ya, betul!” jawab Cikgu Siti. “Gunung menstabilkan kerak bumi supaya tidak bergoncang.”

Cikgu Halim menambah bahawa tanpa hujan, tumbuhan tidak akan tumbuh, sungai akan kering, dan manusia akan kehausan. “Setiap titisan hujan membawa kehidupan,” katanya. Aina mula sedar bahawa hujan bukan sekadar fenomena alam, tetapi tanda kasih sayang dan kebijaksanaan Allah.

Adam termenung. “Maksudnya, langit tu sebenarnya ada tiang tapi kita tak nampak?”
Ayah menggeleng perlahan. “Bukan tiang seperti rumah atau bangunan, tetapi sistem yang Allah cipta untuk menahan dan menstabilkan alam semesta. Dalam sains, kita panggilnya graviti.”

Ayah kemudian mengambil bola kecil dan tali. “Bayangkan bola ini bumi. Kalau ayah pusingkan, tali ini yang menahan bola supaya tak terlepas — itulah ibarat graviti. Setiap planet dalam sistem suria bergerak dengan seimbang kerana tarikan graviti.”

Adam mula faham. “Oh, jadi langit tak jatuh sebab semua benda di atas tu bergerak ikut peraturan Allah?”
“Ya,” jawab ayah. “Kalau sedikit saja terganggu, bintang boleh bertembung, bumi boleh musnah. Tapi semua kekal sempurna sebab kuasa Allah yang Maha Mengatur.”

Pada malamnya, Adam memandang bintang dan bulan yang bersinar di langit gelap. “Subhanallah,” bisiknya perlahan. “Tiada tiang, tapi langit tetap kukuh.”

Dia menulis dalam jurnal NILAM-nya: “Langit tanpa tiang ialah bukti keagungan Allah. Graviti yang mengikat alam semesta ini membuktikan ilmu sains dan al-Quran tidak pernah bertentangan.”

Ayah tersenyum lalu membuka mushaf kecil. “Dalam Surah Yunus ayat 5, Allah berfirman bahawa Dia menjadikan matahari bersinar dan bulan bercahaya, serta menentukan bagi bulan beberapa peringkat.”

Aiman mengerutkan dahi. “Peringkat? Maksudnya?”
“Ya,” jawab ayahnya. “Bulan tidak mempunyai cahaya sendiri. Ia hanya memantulkan cahaya matahari. Sebab itu bentuknya berubah mengikut kedudukan bulan mengelilingi bumi.”
